7 Reasons Why Jesus Christ is who he says he is, The Son of God
Jesus is The Word who was with God before the material creation we know as The Universe existed. God created the universe, animals, plants and human beings through the Word, who is Jesus. Jesus and God are one.
1. Jesus walked the talk. Jesus truly loved everyone, especially the poor,
disadvantaged, sick, oppressed, children, the lowly, meek and humble, the
outcasts of society. He did not condemn people no matter who they are or
what they did. He mixed with people who were despised .. prostitutes and
tax collectors
2. Jesus is the most analysed, researched and studied human being who
have ever lived and walked on Earth. His birth, coming to Earth as The
Messiah, The Saviour of Humanity and All of Creation had been foretold by
several holy, well respected and trusted prophets among the Jewish people
hundreds of years before his birth
3. Jesus taught us like no other great teachers before or after. His teachings,
many of which were told in parables were recorded by his followers also
known as his apostles, and eventually was compiled by faithful, holy,
spiritual people into the book known as The Bible, which is the inspired word
of God. Jesus’ life, the many miracles and healings he performed, including
raising up a man named Lazarus who had died several days earlier,
healing the blind, the lame, the lepers …. these acts were witnessed by his
apostles and many people who flocked to hear him teach and to receive
healing. These events were narrated by Jesus’ apostles, written and
documented by his apostles and close followers
4. Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”, “whoever has seen me
has seen my Father”, “My Father and I are one”
5. Jesus was severely tortured by the Roman soldiers, spat at, abused and
humiliated. Sharp, long nails were hammered into his hands and feet on a
wooden cross. Very sharp thorns were wrapped around his head. Jesus was
crucified on the cross, when a Roman soldier pierced his side with a spear,
Jesus was in extreme pain and agony, and yet he looked up to the sky
and said “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”
6. Jesus torture and crucifixion was witnessed by hundreds of people.
Jesus died on the cross, was then lowered down by a few of his followers
and his body wrapped up in the traditional Jewish way, placed in a tomb.
On the third day, some of his followers discovered that his tomb was empty.
Then while his apostles and followers were gathered together in a room
discussing what happened, Jesus appeared before them and showed them
the holes in his hands and feet. Subsequently, some 500 other people also saw
Jesus alive, after he had been raised from the death by God. These events
and experiences are historical facts and documented in The Bible
7. An angel appeared and spoke to Joseph, to whom Mary had been
pledged in marriage. The angel told Joseph that Mary had conceived a
child through the Holy Spirit and that Joseph was to take Mary as his wife
and name the child Jesus. A prophet had foretold that The Virgin would
give birth to a son and they will call him Emmanuel, which mean “God
with us”
